Bell Boy's Coming home
So a lot has been happening in the last couple of weeks in the UK. With Brexit, Farage runnning, Cameron Leaving, Roy Hodgson Leaving, Jeremy Corbyn clinging on. Some might feel it is time to get out their old CV's for some updates, as there are some pretty handsomely paid jobs in the market, such as England manager and Prime Minister, and also a set piece taker for England to replace Harry Kane as I think some of his free kicks and corners have still to come down.
We have now been without Graeme for about 12 days, and I am happy to report that the pro shop is still standing. On Friday Graeme will make his return to the shop now that his holiday is over, and this also means that this will be my last newsletter for now. But fear not, I will still have some input in future newsletters. Although after showing last week's newsletter to my better half, her first response was that my grammar was shockingly bad, so I will need to try and fix that.

Again the feedback we are having from the members about the course is fantastic. The greens are rolling well at the moment which is showing in the scores that have been coming in recently. We are getting to that stage in the season where people are trying to get their handicap down to that magic number that will see them qualify for the Club Championship, and there is still a lot of golf to be played before the draw is made.
Keep up the low scoring and you may just find yourself with a tee-time in the clubs major.
For those new to the club, our qualifying criteria for the club championship is the top 60 handicaps in the club, so keep an eye on your position and see how close you are.
This event is played on the 13th of August, and with so many people playing well this year it is going to be wide open.
The gents team season came to an end on Tuesday night, and unfortunately ended in defeat, however they will still be playing in division 2 next year, and with the talent that is coming through in the team, we can expect a big challenge for the division next year.
A lot of close matches this year have been coming down to the last game, and away from home the result did not quite fall in our favour, but there are good signs already for next year.
The junior team still have a great chance of making it 7 in a row, and they will be playing Kirkhill at Kirkhill on Thursday night with a win sealing the division yet again, so let's get as many as we can down to support the team.
And finally a big well done to the ladies team who won their division this year and the Montgomerie cup. Congrats ladies a great achievement from them.
Is it the 'Big Three' or the 'Big Four'?
Just when you thought Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy were all set to divvy up golf's biggest prizes, along comes big-hitting Dustin Johnson. The US champion is now number two in the world and looks to be finally fulfilling his potential after another fine win at the weekend - and a big one too at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. For years Johnson seemed destined to be the bridesmaid, now he's one of the favourites to go back-to-back in Majors and take the Claret Jug back across the Atlantic.
Next week's Open at Royal Troon could be a classic
Which leads us on to a new section of our website - our regular poll, and we want your votes. Tell us who you think will win the Open Championship next week; will it be Day, Johnson, Spieth, McIlroy or A.N. Other?
