Yes Scotland can throw us some curve balls and slap us on the back of the head when we least expect it. I wish we had proper seasons where we could organize our wardrobes accordingly. You will always need a waterproof jacket or fleece top at your disposal no matter what time of year it is. THE TROLLEY MAN

Last week's video of me as the trolley man got a lot of people thinking regarding golf trolleys and this is great! I do offer the best service and knowledge about trolleys in central Scotland, not being arrogant but I do know more than most. Just years of servicing them and repairing them that has broadened my knowledge. If you would like some free advice then let me know.

Here's an example of my trolley after sales service. One of our members who is also one of my trolley customers, trolley wasn't working when she came up to play in her medal. She came in for help, so I got out the screwdriver and set to work. Unfortunately it required work that would take more time than the 10 minutes she had before I teed off. I took her trolley into the workshop and gave her one of my rentals to use. Did I charge her the £8 rental, absolutely not, why? Because she bought the trolley from me and I will look after her for the life of her trolley! Graeme Bell service!

I have an apology to make regarding a missing member of the Lockhart and Brown success I wrote about last week. I was informed that they had triumphed in a two ball competition at Braehead Golf Club. They had in fact won a Texas scramble at Alloa Golf Club and we all know that a scramble has 3 people and there was another man responsible for that victory. This man was Graeme Scott and Graeme I am so sorry I missed you out. I will have to sack my informant and may now have to tap phones to get the correct info.

I always charge for my fitting services as I use the Tour Level fitting equipment that is not found in many places. I also have amassed over 15 years of club fitting experience, fitting all levels of players including European Tour Professionals. SUCCESS STORY

I think most of you may gather that I enjoy my job, especially coaching and custom fitting. I work very hard to get people better, be it through coaching or clubs. Last week I had the Club Champion from Wester Gailes Golf club in Ayrshire travel over to see me regarding his driver. He had been fitted last year to a PING Driver but just felt that it wasn't giving him much difference and he felt that his 16 degree rescue was going the same distance as his driver. He was correct!

I put him on Flightscope radar and we got some very interesting data.

His club head speed was pretty high between 103 and 107mph but his smash factor (efficiency of strike) was only 1.37 where a tour pro would get 1.50. These numbers made me investigate further and we found that his strikes were very low and towards the hell with the driver. This made him launch the ball lower but gave him high spin with the driver. This is terrible if you want to hit it as far as you can. So what did we do?

I selected an TaylorMade SLDR which I knew would reduce his spin and who's head design and shape would push his strike more towards the middle.

IT DID JUST THIS AND WE GAINED HIM THE FOLLOWING:

-BALL SPEED INCREASED BY 7MPH
-SPIN REDUCED BY 1300 RMPS WITH AN 11 DEGREE HEAD INSTEAD OF 9.5 LOFT THUS GAINING HIM MORE ROLL WHEN THE BALL LANDS AND ALSO HELPED DECREASING THE DISPERSION OF HIS TEE SHOTS! 
-SMASH FACTOR WENT FROM 1.37 TO 1.48
-19 YARDS INCREASE IN DISTANCE
