Greetings,
Thank you for all your concern with my recent battle with Man-Flu, some concerns from as far away as Portugal don't you know. Welshy even had to send me home on Monday as I was coughing and spluttering all over the place. I have been on a strict diet of grapes and tangerines over the last week and I am near back to fighting fit. My wife has also pointed out that my face is not quite as chubby as it was, so this is great news!
50 Years of Nerston
Many of you will already be aware of that we will be celebrating 50 years of our course being here at Nerston. We are running competitions over the Friday and Saturday which have proven to be extremely popular but many of you may not be aware of another fantastic event on Sunday, 14 May.
We are hosting a "Trick Shot Display" and I don't just mean some of the shots you see off the 1st tee during a Medal. I am talking about a fantastic trick shot artist going through a medley of jaw dropping tricks. Check out the website of the "Trick Shot King Dean Davis" by clicking here.

The Golf Performance Lab Is Coming
We are nearly there ladies and gentlemen! The lab was plastered and painted this week and it is beginning to really take shape. These are the last pictures you will see before the lab is finished I'm afraid. The reason for this is to give you the total wow factor when we open it.
When we do open the lab we will holding sessions in the lab for all to try out the system and understand exactly what you can do in it. I realise that some of you will be doubters about what we are doing but if you allow me to showcase the facility to you in the correct way then you will truly understand our vision.

Juniors Assemble
Last year we brought the "Golphin Junior Flag Competition" to East Kilbride Golf Club for the 1st time and on Sunday, we brought them back again. It was amazing to see children from 5 upwards descend on the club with their little bags of clubs and big personalities.
I brought my oldest boy Logan up to see what it was all about as he isn't really sure about golf yet. I do not want to be a pushy parent but I think he may well be getting the bug. Watching the mums and dads getting their kids prepared for the golf brought back so many memories about my own golfing journey 31 years ago. I said 31 years didn't I.
Anyway enough about me and more about the 65 young golfers who visited our wonderful golf club. Well, done to young Toby Mathers who won the event. I spent quite a bit of time talking to the parents who were super impressed with our great facility and commented on how welcoming we all were. Great news for us all at the club!
