G400 Launch Day

After a few hiccups at PING’s end we have finally taken delivery of our G400 range of woods, hybrids and fairway woods. We will be inviting you to try them out this Saturday all throughout the day in our fantastic Golf Lab. You can see how they measure up against your current equipment! This is totally FREE and you will be using premium balls and the weather will play no part as it’s not invited!!

Club Championship Week Is Nearly Here

This is the week where the clubs best golfers compete to win the coveted title of “EKGC CLUB CHAMPION.” I know that some of you get a little annoyed at the course being closed to normal play that day but we all strive to be better and this is the pinnacle of a club members career. The vast majority of these players practice so hard when the rest of us just turn up and play. They have practiced in wind, rain and sometimes even snow to get to the level they are at. If you want to be as good as these players then pop up on the day and watch them. You will learn so much from them and this could help galvanise your game going forward.

We are also having a “Championship Party Night” at the club where you can have an evening of pure unadulterated fun. You will even qualify for “DOUBLE DISCOUNT” at the bar when ordering your tipple of choice. Tickets are available but selling super-fast!!!

Wham Bam Thank You Tam

Tam Leith is almost unrecognisable these days after shedding some serious timber. His body shape changed so much that his golf swing became unrecognisable to himself and he sunk to an all-time low. With the Golf Lab being so popular, Tam struggled to get an appointment. I eventually managed to squeeze him into the lab, no pun intended!

There we used our Quad Launch monitor to show him why he had been losing so much distance. Tam was hitting the ball so low out of the face and so far over to the toe of the club, he had lost about 20 yards per iron! After a few changes to his shoulder pivot, we had his strike pattern shifting considerably. Our technology measures the important parameters so quickly that we can send a player on their way knowing that we are working on the correct things, giving the player the confidence to invest time in the quest for better golf. I think you know what’s coming next…

Our club is absolutely bursting with talent and this week we again showed our class. Young “Alan Woodhouse” qualified through to the St Andrews Boys Scratch Matchplay competition and “Jack Emerson” qualified for the handicap matcplay. Well done boys!

“Susan Woodhouse” qualified for the St Andrews Junior Girls Matchplay! Well done Susan!
