This is your Assistant Professional speaking. Graeme has intrusted me with this week's newsletter, a big step up from stocking fridges and running repairs but anyway…here goes!
ClubGolf Camp
If I seemed a little more stressed out than usual this week that's because I was running our first ever ClubGolf Camp. We had kids travel in from as far afield as Aberdour just to take part in our wonderful programme and the week went very well. This will hopefully become an annual event here at Linlithgow and we look forward to watching the rising starts develop their golf game.
Special Thanks to Douglas McEwan, Pat McEwan, Frances Brown, Ken Dagger and Ian Harrison for volunteering throughout the week. The help was much appreciated!
Ryder Cup
As promised the Ryder Cup was brought to us by ClubGolf on Tuesday which made for a very exciting day. Unfortunately for most of us that was as close as we will ever get to the trophy without snatching it out of Ian Poulters hands in September. Nevertheless, being in its presence was thrilling enough so I hope most of you got a chance to visit.
The Open Championship
Well it is that time of year again when the world's elite golfers gather at one of Britain's toughest links courses to compete for the 2nd best trophy in golf, the Claret jug. Hoylake is this year's chosen venue and it promises to be an exciting tournament. The last Open Championship at Hoylake saw a fierce and hungry Tiger surge to victory but with an injury plagued season and lack of practice the tournament is wide open. I often try to make predictions at the start of the week on who I believe will win but I am always wrong so I'll let you guys decide for yourselves.
To add to the excitement we are running our very own sweep stake. The spots are filling fast at only £2 a square so you better be quick!

Adams Golf returns to form!
I'm sure many of you have noticed that we are very proud suppliers of Adams golf equipment, a company that has been in the shadows for a while now. They are however making a huge comeback and the Adams name is appearing more and more each week on both the PGA and European tour.
Many people still remain sceptical about the equipment and rightly so. It's hard to convince yourself to spend a lot of money on a club you know nothing about but I can assure you Adams is a sound investment. Their hybrids are performing incredibly well and now with the new XTD fairway wood and driver range Adams will complete your setup quite beautifully.
Adams Offer
If an Adams player is inside the top 20 at this week's British Open then receive 10% off all Adams equipment!
Special Offers
Buy 2 sleeves of Titleist Velocity or DT Solo for just £15 and receive a third completely free!
Our Ex Demo clubs are disappearing fast so you better hurry!
Magic 59
Ari Kiuru is a name many of you might not know but after a scintillating 59 in Saturday's medal I'm sure you will see him top many leaderboards in the future. It was a once in a lifetime score as described by Ari, he "could do nothing wrong…even if he tried" We should all be so lucky. Well done Ari!!
