In this week’s email, we look at our recent launch day, we feature some exciting new product that has just landed in-store, and we look at why custom fitting is so important. Enjoy the read.

Launch Day

What a weekend we had in the Golf Performance Lab! We had the official launch of the new TaylorMade M3 & M4 Range. We were also very lucky to have a top of the range BMW M4 on site as part of the launch day. This was courtesy of our friends at Douglas Park BMW Hamilton. It was a cracker!

The launch day went wonderfully well even though the snow had not left the course, we were all systems go in the lab, testing the product with you the members. I harp on about how manufacturers are not giving you the customer the right options and build for your clubs. This is also with the demo packs that they supply to us. The shafts are too long and the balance point of the head and shaft are too generic to fit everyone. That’s why I spend most of my week taking them all apart and re-weighting them all. It took myself and Stuart ages.

My Shop Survey

A huge thank you to all of you who took the time to reply to our survey and I really appreciate the feedback. Most of the feedback was very positive and it is very nice to know that you appreciate what we are trying to do.

There was some negative feedback which I have taken on board and will be hopefully answering in future newsletters. I have already embraced some of the suggestions from you and hopefully you will see even better service from the shop. I realise that I will never please everyone but I can assure you that all my staff and I want to do is help you and the club. It is a difficult time for every small business and I do work day and night to try and provide you all with 1st class service.

Your support is so much appreciated and thank you again for helping me guide my business and the club forward.

Custom Fitting

Last week we custom fitted 6 players and we only recommended clubs to 3 of them. Why? Well the other 3 had clubs that didn’t need changing. Two needed the lie angles changed and the other desperately needed grips.

I reinforce this all the time but it’s true, the aim of the game is not to sell clubs but to make you better. If we can do this without changing your clubs then that is exactly what I will do. We also matched the best online price for the clubs we did sell. Sorry I tell a lie, we beat the price!!
