A chill has returned to the air this week as autumn approaches. That sounds like something out of Jane Eyre. Lets try again. It's been fair chilly this week as the sweaters have made a return to Linlithgow Golf Club. I am talking about an article of clothing and not a musical quartet from Sweden, they are called 'The Cardigans' . Super line to start a newsletter, booooom.
We saw the Rotary Grange of Linlithgow take over the course on Monday. There were so many fluorescent jackets darting about the car park, I thought I had stumbled upon the David Guetta gig at Bellahouston Park. As ever, the competition was filled full of local people and business owners. It is always nice to see the community coming together for charity and the Rotary do a lot for charity every year. Ian Adams our retiring Secretary is one of the chief organisers of this event, so a big thank you to him.
Cammy My Talented Assistant
Last week Cammy did the newsletter for me and I asked him to do a piece on himself as he is a really talented musician. I just wanted everyone to know that he wasn't't blowing his own trumpet, it was me! This week he is doing a couple of gigs in Glasgow and I'm sure he will do a great job. I wish I had an ear for music but sadly I've just got a pair of ears for flying. He is a brilliant musician and I will try and persuade him to do an evening of music at the club in the coming months. I am his agent now and will demand 47.5% of the door money. Speaking of talent, here is a video of my son Logan dancing to some club classics, at the age of 2 he's got them moves like Jagger!
Ice Bucket Challenge
You may well have witnessed the online craze of throwing buckets of iced water over your head for charity. Well, I was nominated by my wonderful assistant to do it and because I'm a trooper and love the limelight, I did it. I tried to cover myself up as best I could and luckily for all you ladies out there, my speedos were in the wash. Enjoy!
Daily Mail Foursomes:

Deacon Rons Away With The Seniors Open
Just like my headlines Ronnie Deacon's golf just keeps getting better. Ronnie scooped the Linlithgow Seniors Open Competition last week. Ronnie is a top bloke who gives up a lot of his time to assist with the running of competitions and organising senior competitions. So it was poignant that he played his best golf of the season to win the Seniors Open. It also meant a lot to Ronnie as the Trophy was first donated by his friend years ago before he passed away. Well, done Ronnie and thanks for all your hard work this year.
Further to to broadcast message that went out earlier today regarding me leaving the club- all accounts with me need to be cleared by the 17th October. Thank you to everyone again.
