The course opened and as quick as you could say boo to a goose, it was closed again due to snow. On the positive side of things, the course had drained so well and the course was in pretty good shape where others in the area were left soaking. The Green Staff are continuing the drainage work on the course and are have now moved onto hole 5. This is essential work and I will be venturing out onto the course to take some pictures next week.

Lost Ball on the Course

A very unique, I say unique but what I mean is old, very old ball was handed into the shop on Tuesday. This ball is circa 1970 and if you have lost it then please get in touch as I can help you get 30 yards immediately. All they need to do is to change to a ball from the 1980's.

My Super Dooper Golf Machine

I have had so much interest in our new Golf Measuring & Alteration Machine, It has been staggering!! It is great to see how many of you are keen to make your golf better and I can assure you that we are going to make some great discoveries when measuring your clubs. The machine has landed in the UK but must have gone via Amsterdam or Afghanistan as Customs are taking ages to release it and making me sign more papers than the Geneva Convention. I can assure you all it will be very much worth the wait!!

The Old Firm Returns

In the West of Scotland, you just can't avoid 'The Old Firm' and I know even by mentioning the term 'Old Firm' I may have ruffled some feathers. It's the game that many have waited years for and some would rather it never happened again. Anyway it's happening and it will be all over the papers on Monday, hopefully for the right reasons. The great news is that the club are showing the game and that means you can watch it in comfortable and familiar surroundings. The kick off is 1.30pm , so get up early to grab a seat!
