We are only a matter of hours away from the biggest show on earth, not the US Open but the Graeme Bell Golf Professional's Day. Temperatures are creeping into the teens and no rain is forecast! It really is a dream come true! The drink has been delivered and my wife and mother have started their ovens. All that is left to do is to run around like a headless chicken bringing you a golf day but not as you know it. A day where modern technology, fun and golf are fused together to bring you a day you will not forget. GRAND RAFFLE IN AID OF PARKINSONS
We will also be holding a Grand Raffle which will have many great prizes to be won. The proceeds of which will be going to a local Parkinsons Charity which is very close to my family's heart. My late father in-law John Gordon had some wonderful times at 'Michael's Movers' and they helped him so much since his diagnosis with Parkinsons.
MIZUNO FITTING DAY (BOOK YOUR SPACE NOW)
Mizuno are synonymous with quality with the golf industry and their attention to detail in their building of golf clubs is second to none. This was one of the main reasons I took the brand on this year and we have already had great success through fittings already this year. Mizuno are coming to East Kilbride Golf Club on Tuesday 23rd between 1pm and 4pm. Everybody is welcome but I would prefer if you arranged a fitting appointment in advance. GREAT GOLF BEING PLAYED AT EAST KILBRIDE GOLF CLUB
Last weekend we saw some more great golf being played at our club. The lowest scratch score was that of Ross Hinshelwood with a fabulous gross 67, closely followed by the shop's very own Kieran McVicar with a 69. David McMorris pipped Ross in the 1st Class with a nett 68 while Angus Ferguson romped home in 2nd Class with a nett 66. Charles Gorrance has probably shown the most consistent form through the 3rd Class Club Competitions this year and this continued on Saturday with his nett 65.

THE LADIES INVADE GIRVAN
Once a year local pubs and restaurants in Girvan lock their doors and batten down the hatches as a bus load of Ladies from East Kilbride descend on the sleepy town of Girvan. When the bus leaves East Kilbride for this annual soiree, there have been stories of Malibu and Gin before the bus even closes the doors. I am here to dispel all of these unfounded rumours and to say that they all behaved themselves and have been invited back next year!
