There will be no chat about squirrels or weather this week. This week's newsletter will consist mainly of other fantastic things. But as always please be prepared for some wonderful one liners!
This week history was made at the club with the Junior Team who romped to another outstanding victory in the Lanarkshire Boys Championship. These boys really are something special. They have won everything going in the last six years and I think we need to take the time to sit down and actually quantify how much success they have brought to themselves and the club.
I don't think I have ever heard of a Club Junior Team being so dominant. Sadly this year the team will lose around 6 of their players and it may take some time to be this strong again. 2015 has been an epic year for success at the club and hopefully we can have an evening at the club to celebrate all the golfers who have brought sunshine to our club during a very bleak summer.

Some say I do this to confuse the senior members but I can assure you it is just me making way for all the new stock. I sometimes think of myself as a less camp 'Laurence Llewelyn Bowen' AS I resign the shop. The first part of the reshuffle was the moving of the fridge and that took longer than expected as I probably should have emptied it. Kieran looked a bit like a young Ken Dodd as he moved freely around the shop floor with his duster. For those of you under 35 years old, you will have absolutely no idea what I am talking about, so pop that name into google and see the pictures it pops out.
PUPILS SUCCESSES
Many people ask me if golf lessons make a difference. My answer is always yes but it really depends on a few things:
A few of my pupils have put some serious rounds together recently. Most notably 'Crawford Brankin' who in as many weeks has won the EK Seniors Open and has got to the final of the handicap match play competition. He also finished second in last week's Tri Am. This may not sound much but his team was only made up of 2 people and not 3! His close personal friend 'Cliff Smith' did suggest that he was not actually the same Crawford he knew years ago as he has had so many new hips and knees over the years. Crawford has certainly put in the practice on the range and it's been a battle for him but he is finally seeing the light through the clouds. I would also like to mention his latest acquisition of a lithium Powakaddy trolley has lightened the load and given him the little more spring in his step. Glorified advertising there folks, sorry!
MY POM POMS ARE CERTAINLY CATCHING PEOPLE'S EYES
I am a man of style and class and when I like something, I like it and others like it.
